Upcoming Litters/Planned Breedings

WE HAVE MET OUR RESERVE FOR ELLA AND BRUCE'S 2ND LITTER!

We are accepting waiting list forms for Ella and Bruce's 3rd litter in Winter 2021.  Please click tab below.

WAITING LIST

if you decide to fill out the waiting list form, please make sure you list the best way for us to contact you.  We are receiving many waiting list forms, however, when i reach out, i'm not getting the replies.
we do reply quickly when we receive the notifications, and it's always good practice to communicate with us if you would like one of our babies in the future.
we are happy and eager to meet you.

What you can expect from us as your breeder and what you can expect from the type of puppies we raise:

  • We provide clean, adequate, safe housing (all puppies are born and raised inside our home with teenagers and other Danes) and run areas specific to the nature and exercise of Great Dane puppies.
  • Each puppy is socialized with family members and friends. We work EXTENSIVELY with each puppy using Puppy Culture.  Potty training and crate training are introduced around 4 weeks of age.  Clicker training basic commands such as sit, come, and some leash work including heeling.
  • We consider the strengths and weaknesses of each potential pairing (bitch and stud). We always breed to better the breed.
  • We perform all customary health tests on the parents prior to breeding, and disclose all results to possible puppy buyers. The following tests have been performed and ALL results are listed on our “All About Health Tests” tab: PennHIP, OFA thyroid, OFA heart, OFA eyes, IMGD (Inherited Myopathy in Great Danes), LEMP (Leukoencephalomyelopathy) and DM (Degenerative Myelopathy).
  • We ONLY breed dogs that are in good health, temperamentally sound, and free from genetic faults. We ONLY breed dogs that are physically and mentally mature enough to breed, and do not continue to breed any male or female that is unfit for breeding.
  • We ensure that all puppies are positively identifiable. We have our local Vet microchip the puppies at their wellness checkup.
  • All puppies will have dew claws removed.
  • All puppies will be dewormed at weeks 3, 5 and 7 weeks. At the 7th week mark, puppies will be dewormed by vet at puppy check up. (We do not over vaccinate and it's best if vaccines are given by a trained veterinarian)
  • We make every effort possible to ensure that puppies are in good health and free from genetic defects at the time of sale.
  • We review each prospective buyer carefully and make every effort to ensure that each puppy is placed in a home that is in the best interest of the new owner AND the puppy.
  • We help to educate puppy buyers about the breed and what is required in terms of exercise, nutrition, training, and socialization. Many of these items are conveniently located right here on our website, which we also provide inside an organized 3-ring binder.
  • We always make both parent dogs available for viewing to potential puppy buyers, along with proper registration papers of the parents.
  • We ALWAYS provide each new puppy owner with the proper paperwork to register the new puppy at the time the puppy leaves our home.

It has also been Kirk’s Dane Farm’s interest to conduct FURTHER health testing on both parents, because one can never be too careful. Kirk’s Dane Farm is constantly looking into other Health Testing, which will be fully disclosed to OFA and any family who has had a previous puppy from one or more of the parents listed.  Also, our pups will be going to their new homes potty trained, crate trained, socialized and started on basic commands such as Sit, come, stay and manding/heeling.

**Please note if the desired puppy is approved for Full registration, there will be an additional “agreement” (along with our original contract) to be filled out before pup leaves Kirk’s Dane Farm. We pride our breeding program in passing on certain lines, and will be very selective in this type of registration. There's always a possibility of a Co-Own, however this will need to be discussed with Kirk’s Dane Farm and the “Buyer.” Kirk’s Dane Farm is always looking for potential families who want to continue these wonderful lines. Full breeder support is and always will be provided with one of Kirk’s Dane Farm puppies, however, there may be extra training and support needed if breeding is in your future, which we will be more than happy to provide.

If you are interested in HOLDING a future puppy, you can first fill out the waiting list form by clicking the link below.  Once filled out, your information will be sent to us, where we will reach out to you.  After speaking with us, and it is in your family's desire to move forward with holding a puppy, you can READ, FILL OUT and SIGN the document along with a "refundable" deposit of $300.00 to hold a future puppy.
* If a desired puppy has not been fulfilled within this litter, you may have the option to have the $300.00 refunded or you may wish to transfer the money to a future litter.
*Once the desired puppy has been approved by both parties, the deposit on the "HOLD CONTRACT" will move to the original "Puppy Contract/Bill of Sale" and become "NON-REFUNDABLE."

It is ALWAYS in the best interest that Kirk's Dane Farm place puppies with families who have reached out and have made several attempts to speak with us.  We care deeply for our Dane babies and want to see them flourish in the right home.  We pride ourselves, along with many testimonials, in that we care about you and will work with you during the puppy placement and puppy purchasing time period.
